Very strange smell and unexplicable mold

Hi people I've done a few grows but my most recent grows have all but 2 contracted either a orange mold and or a very very astringent smell almost like bad paint. Now obviously I threw them out but here is where it gets weird. One syringe I used on jars that contracted this smell I made myself out of b+ spores. Another was a syringe I ordered offline and the third was a still different syringe I ordered offline. Now two of the bins had the orange mold and one did not but they all had the astringent smell. (When I say astringent I mean really toxic smelling.) Even weirder some of the jars had it off the bat and some only got it once I mixed the spawn. I've been using different kinds of compost all sterilized I that is my only theory is it is something in the compost but then that does not explain the jars of mycelium with this toxic smell. The only thing left is the WBS I was using had some kind of contamination even after an hour in the cooker. Very strange stuff but if it wasn't for this mold and or smell I would be a much happier man. Thanks for the help.

Your shit is contaminating, you'll need to figure out where and why.
If your jars are going bad, check your sterile procedures, grain prep, and original culture/spores.
Pics help.
Agar will benefit you immensely in cleaning up contams.

well yes it is contaminated but it has happened in isolated incidents but I will just move on I have another question Sir. One of my trays is only pinning on the sides where it pulled away from the container, now it has very high humidity and condensation on the top of the bin so I don't know how to get the condensation any higher to form pins than it already is. I thought of putting that smaller bin in a larger bin with perlite to bump up the humidity because it is obviously not high enough. Will this method work? Many Thanks
P.S. Sorry I do not have pics I left my camera at my other place.
