Tired during down-time, energetic when physically working

I am not here to seek exclusive advice, I'm already going to the doctor. I just want to see how common this is amongst members here.
I have this weird thing where no matter where I am or what I'm doing, if my body is in a state of rest or if I'm having to sit and wait for something I get so mentally and physically drained. Work and lunch breaks are terrible. I get so tired from them I get cranky and my body cries out for sleep. I think people think me a bit weird for going long walks at lunches instead of being sociable but I hate that feeling that I so desperately want my bed but I'm so many hours away from being able to go to it. Walking keeps my energy up to a more normal level.
As soon as I get into the rhythm of physically laborious work I spring to life and can keep going for hours, as long as I remain focused on the job. My energy levels just sky-rocket when I have work to do. Can't be work behind a desk or talking to people or something non-physical. That just brings me right back down again. It has to be something physically difficult.
I also find my energy levels are high when I'm excited about something or around good friends.
I see other people are able to maintain a more consistent level of energy between down-time and work. They seem more tired when working than not.
I am not a hard drug user, I only use weed and not during work hours. Get plenty of sleep, eat reasonably healthy, no other problems I know of. Just this maddening fatigue and grumpiness during breaks or waiting for something, and the contrasting high from physical work that is extreme enough I've worked myself to injury without realising it until the next day.
Does this sound like something anyone else has had before?

I didn't read most of that, but when i started sleeping a few hours less every night recently, I obtained a lot more day time energy. And I'd been a groggy day person for years.
and i read some articles that 6 or 7 hours is all you really need anyway

You are a doer not a dog-fucker. You should be proud of yourself.
