Question about wild cubesis life growth.
    #18681917 - 08/09/13 08:18 AM (10 years, 6 months ago)

Hey y'all,

I have a question on how long wild cubesis will stay in the field. I checked the field Sunday and it was full of shrooms but I was sketchy about being there because its kinda close to houses and it was right at dark so the people where still up. I just hopped the fence and picked a bag full in the corner of the field and jumped back over leaving what looked like thousands of them in the field. And yes I realize now how stupid that was. Anyway that was Sunday, and it rained Monday and Tuesday but dry Wednesday  and Thursday with temps getting up to about 92 humid degrees. We have a slight chance of rain this evening, I was wondering if anyone knew if the shroom would still be there or not?

Those particular shrooms won't be most likely but I'm sure there will be plenty more.

Check back every 3 days or so depending on your climate, positively id them as actives, and happy hunting.

Hahaha. I hope not buddy. I have another question for ya madchef, it rained a lot late yesterday evening, like 3-1/2" and its suppose to be cloudy and rain off and on all day today. And tomorrow it's suppose to be the same way. Do the cubesis need sun after a good rain because my buddy and I are planning to hunt late tomorrow. But I don't think we will get much sun. We might see a little sun tomorrow. But what do you think? Sorry to bother ya but everything you told so far has been right on.

Sun or not they'll grow. Just a matter of finding some at the right time in their life cycle.

If this is your first time hunting wild cubes you might want to pop over to the mushroom hunting forum and make sure you have what you think you do. Better of safe than dead from an improperly identified mushroom.

Yes they do bruise blue, and I do a spore print on each and everyone, which are purple, but thanks madchef, do you think there will be more than usual with the rain and cooler weather? Hopefully!!!
