I believe in psychics in a sense, because I've had "visions" (very specific ones) that have came to pass, multiple times over. I dunno about being able to just call upon it though, the shit just kinda happens to me randomly.
They usually come in the form of dreams, but there are other ways. Like conversations, word for word. It's not usually anything significant as far as world events go, either.

Nothing appeals to me no one feels like me, I’m too busy being calm to disappear. I’m in no shape to be alone contrary to the shit that you might hear. You can't wake up, this is not a dream. Saying you don't necessarily believe someone's story on the internet where people exaggerate things and lie all the time isn't really flaming.
Why wouldn't your spirit father talk to you directly rather than some random psychic in some random place seven years after his death?
There is no spirit world, and psychics are delusional and/or opportunistic.

She got the information somewhere else. She's trying to con you, and it's working.
You might even consider this a case of in person spear phishing.

i was gonna say all this but wouldn't have been nice to see though the delusions and have a nice conversation?
yeah, OP, i wouldn't trust who is giving your information away to psychics, in order to take advantage of you. you're not Paranoid, are you? cause if not, i'd invest in a little.

OP, I fully believe your story. I have met my fair share of "real" psychics, and those phony ass psychics that use cards and palm reading shit. I believe what you experienced was very real, and that the woman you encountered had a real gift.
I believe that all people have the ability to acknowledge the spirit world, you just have to want it and allow it to come to you. Psychics are people who are born with the natural gift of being able to tap into that unseen world.
Why do spirits of our loved ones not come to us directly? Probably because most of us don't believe we are capable of contacting them once they die. Most people believe that we either go to some sort of paradise in the sky, or we just cease to exist. Maybe if we opened ourselves up to the idea that once you leave this physical body, you enter another realm, then maybe we can contact these spirits.
For most who have tried DMT, they are aware that there are worlds parallel to ours, that we can not see without the proper training of the mind. Psychedelics are just tools for us to use to realize that we already have the power within ourselves to reach out to these other worlds. Yes, many psychics exploit you, but then there are those (like the above story) that PROVE that not everyone is out to get your money. She spoke many truths to you, and it's up to YOU whether you want to believe it or not.
Take what everyone says on here with a grain of salt. YOU are the one who had the experience, not us. YOU know first hand what went down, not us. Therefore it is up to YOU whether you want to believe your universe is a little different than you thought.

Plenty of people believe 100% in a life after this one and in the "spirit world" and aren't psychics, nor has anyone "spoken" to them from the dead.
Do you think there's some magic wall that the spirits can only cross if you believe hard enough? That's completely illogical. If there were a spirit world, it wouldn't simply require believing really hard and it wouldn't only be accessible to a select group of people who make money off of other people's sorrow and whom fail time and time again to prove their accuracy.

Not for most. You don't access any parallel worlds on DMT. You overload your brain. You're in an altered state.

She's not flaming anybody. Member's are allowed to comment on and debate each other's posts- if joie wants to, that's her prerogative. We have a forum for mystical stuff where criticism isn't allowed, but the OP decided to make this in the pub so the pub rules apply.

The rules on flaming apply to members, not to random unnamed people like psychics. You cannot insult another member personally, you can call republicans "full of shit" though, as that isn't a member.

Not for most. You don't access any parallel worlds on DMT. You overload your brain. You're in an altered state.
Do you do any sort of meditation, or have actually had a breakthrough experience on DMT?
If not, than you probably do not understand my perspective. I don't believe there was anything illogical about my statement. You sound closed minded to the idea that our minds can access these other dimensions, therefore you wouldn't understand where I am coming from.
Unfortunately there are those in society that abuse such ideas, and take advantage of people accordingly. But there are also those who do use their gifts to help others, like OP's example. I even stated that I hate "psychics" that use tarot cards and bullshit tools like that. I simply open myself up to the thought that maybe it is possible to access the "other side" or whatever the fuck you want to call it.
And my experiences with DMT have been more than recreational. Ever have a near death experience? I have before, and it is believed that your pineal gland is responsible for producing DMT in high stress scenarios, and creating that "life flashing before your eyes" hallucination.
