Found a couple of mushies and need help identifying.
    #18669607 - 08/06/13 05:57 PM (10 years, 5 months ago)

Habitat:
I found it in a grassy patch in near a condo complex in Santa Monica, CA. Well watered lawn.

Gills:
had very basic gills before it dehydrated in my car over the last few days.

Stem: when i plucked.
about 3 inches , diameter= a little smaller than a refill for a BIC ink pen, color= brown, stem and head texture= smooth, stem= not sure if solid but my guess was hollow like a dandelion , gills were dark brown and head looked like a circumcised penis almost-sorry...

Cap:
about 1 - cm, light brown, smooth, conical/spherical=  convex/concave, etc.

Spore print color:
I am not sure what this means...

Bruising:
I am not sure. Its already dry...

Other information:
?

If the stem was hollow it sounds like some type of psathyrella.  But without pictures its anybodies guess.  Try and get some pictures of fresh specimens next time.

under your name in the top left click "pics"

Then again in the upper left you should see "upload" click that

Then Click "Browse" Hold down the CTRL key and click on all the pictures you want to upload

then simply click Upload! :super:

Looks more like a dried up Panaeolus to me. Scott- that specimen is much too dried out for a confident ID. Keep an eye on that lawn though, and try to post pictures of a fresh collection.
