    #1870998 - 09/01/03 01:46 PM (13 years, 3 months ago)

has anyone here grown marahuanilla? ive got a bunch of plants with flowers but im not sure when the optimal harvest time is. some flowers are falling off while others near the top havnt bloomed. when to harvest? im going to add this to a smoking blend, should i mix in the leaves as well as flowers? dont know much about this one guys, only that it is very easy to grow

Other's may have better advice, but this is what i've followed in the past and got from Growing the Hallucinogencs pg 44.

Quote:

The leaves and flowers are smoked for their cannabis-like effects [well duh!]. These parts may be gathered at any time and dired quickly. Harvest no more than one-third of the leaves at one time. Let the plant grow and fill out for aleast a month before harvesting again. In Africa a resin is gathered from the leaves. Plants grown in less torrid climates do not tend to exude this resin. Such leaves can be smoked, however, or subjected to alcohol extraction.

I'm gonna go look in some other books once i finish my tea.

Im growing about 3 plants now, but have not yet harvested any or smoked it at all. What are the effects? Similar to a mild cannabis? if so in what way?

Thanks
