What type of mushroom is this?
    #18708953 - 08/15/13 12:35 PM (10 years, 5 months ago)

Hi! I found this mushroom in VA, at the base of a tree stump (type unknown). If the photo doesn't paste here, I did share it in my photo gallery. Does anyone know what type it is?

Looks like laetiporous sp. to me (chicken of the woods) but would wait for TI. to confirm. Is it yellow or white?...I believe there is a type  that is whiter than the sulphureus one. If it is chicken...they are very tasty...just ate some last night with fettuccine. :spazzychicken:

320x240 px picture is not enough to ID to species.
Not Laetiporus, maybe Trametes or Stereum.
