I watch a lot of YNC videos and have seen what happens when a human body is struck or run over by a 40ft truck. It's a fucking mess  and witnessing such a thing would seriously fuck you mentally.

When I was a kid, I was staying the night at my Uncles house. He told me to stay out of some of his movies, because they were too mature for me and would scare me. Well, once he went to bed, I went through his entire collection of "The Faces of Death" at 7 years old.

Not too much scars me anymore. Death is just a part of life, and the most we can ask for is a quick, clean death. Unlike being turned into Human Toothpaste for the street cleaners to brush up.

Ooo oohhh shit.... I've seen that shit before..

Faces of death are banned in other countries...

Shit like that shouldn't be made.. Can you imagine how the person who edited those films, how fucked his mind musts be?

we only fear death so much because we're so sheltered from it. in the wild, things get killed all the time. you have to hunt for your meat, and slaughter your own animals with your own hands.

in the city, you just go to the grocery market to get your pre-packaged meats.

we have structures and organization in place to prevent death and gore from reaching the public eye by all means necessary.

when something like this happens, it's completely unexpected. why would such a terrible thing happen? well, it's not really terrible. it's just a part of life we're not used to seeing. it seems terrible to us because it's so surreal, to see such a thing.

if you're a police officer or in the armed forces or whatever, you probably would have a higher tolerance to this sort of thing, and it wouldn't jostle you as bad.

for the rest of us common american folks, it's just not something we're used to

Good thing. I will watch the squirrels and birds that congregate around the bird feeder, and it is so obvious they live their entire lives in a state of constant paranoia and hyper vigilance. They literally seem to enjoy not a single moment of relaxation. :paranoid: The slightest movement sends them bolting (right into the path of a passing car )

A lot of shit happens to me . God must hate me or something . I am a good story teller, but this isn't something I would joke about...I am talking about someone's death and a kindred witnessing that death. Most of those stories I have told are true . I am a bit paranoid though...so excuse me

You mean liar. You're a good liar and have admitted to doing it here for attention. God doesn't grant good karma on attention seeking liars and your attitude about shit happening to you rather then creating it yourself is why it seems to "unfair".

Tens of thousands of people die every single day but you put one dead body in the middle of the street and it makes people crazy!

you can smell the fear.

tell him to suck it up and get real.

Shit. It took nearly two hours for someone to call BS on that. He should have said there are 13 billion nipples.

I've seen a close friend killed in a similarly gruesome accident. I will never forget it. Maybe it'll be easier to get over for your brother, since it wasn't someone he knew. I doubt it though. Try to get him to talk about it, and be a good listener.

If he bottles it up it will probably make him suffer later in life. Sorry to hear that he had to see that, nobody should ever have to.

I would tell him sorry he had to see it, its the ugly part of life few of us want to ever see.  He will get over it, one day that will be all of us looking into the truck at our last moment and then BAM off to the next part of our journey whatever the fuck it might be.  It wasn't like it was someone he knew, it will fuck with him a few days and he will go back to normal.  Hopefully it will make him appreciate life more.
