neighbor dogs!
    #18708768 - 08/15/13 11:51 AM (10 years, 5 months ago)

so I have decided to do away with my next door neighbor's little spastic yappy dogs. every time I go out into my yard with my well behaved and quiet dog, they freak the fuck out and keep my dog from being able to even shit or piss. I've had it and there's no way the redneck owner is going to give a shit about me, so I have to take it into my own hands. I make noise too, but this is affecting the attitude and health of my dog. what's the best for sure way to do away with them innocently. I have an opened pack of bacon sitting outside right now ripening up. a rotten salmon maybe? I don't want to use any chemicals.

Don't use chemicals what kinda thinking is that. An old neighbor of mine killed our dog w poisonous meat because he was friggin huge and intimidated her.

Call animal control or something but don't kill the dogs

Are you talking about offing these dogs?!  :uhoh:

It's not their fault.  Yappy dogs are annoying as fuck, I agree.  But you're gonna go and murder them?  If you're not afraid to kill them, kidnap them in the cover of darkness and take them to a shelter in a neighboring town.

Yeah man don't kill the dogs, that's kinda messed up.... Plus what's stoping the guy from getting new ones afterwards?

do what VivaLaMushie said, call animal control.

what's animal control going to do? these dogs are truly annoying and the owner leaves them out all day and night to bark at my fence and bushes. I could have a lot of fun with the neighbor and throw four cat's worth and 1 dog's worth of shit over the fence every night.

KINDA messed up?  That is DESPICABLE.  You're talking about murdering a helpless dog in cold blood.  I can't believe you would even entertain the thought.

Why don't you just go over there when the neighbor's gone and get to know the dogs so they won't bark when you go outside.. Hell bring them some (untainted) hotdogs or something to buy their 'love'..

Well for starters if the owner is neglecting them or letting them trash your property they can get the cops to fine them (idk if animal control ppl give out fines) and /or take the dudes dogs.

What's killing them going to solve? The barking? Sure, but you really wanna live the rest of your life knowing you killed someones baby's?

Don't kill the dogs man, not worth it.

My neighbor poisoned my cat with antifreeze because my cat enjoyed pissing in his bushes. No more than 4 months later, he was diagnosed and died of cancer.

I swear I had nothing to do with it, but ain't retaliation a bitch?

I say video tape the dogs behavior and present it to the owner, if he is not cooperative you could bring it to animal control, you need evidence to make your case.

this thread pops up every once in a while and always has the same vibe, did you really think the shroomery would help you kill a critter?

the answers are, if i recall correctly

1) call police/animal control

2)start a band, preferably if you suck at playing any instruments and practice outside when the dogs are yapping

3)confront the neighbor, ask them to do something/ or work out a schedule so your animals arnt out at the same time or something

these dog owners have a serious problem. they live in a single wide mobile home that doesn't fit into the neighborhood, they act like meth heads, treat their animals like shit, let them live in a filthy yard, don't give a shit about the neighbor kids across from them, and are fat and lazy. I just moved in and can see all of this already. they're fucking slobs that don't even want the dogs. they don't even let them inside, probably because they don't want their meth lab to get knocked over.

Id support it.

There's this asshole down here who would snatch peoples cats outside of their homes late at night and people were finding their cats mutilated. The dude was caught on camera numerous times. The cat community wants him dead.

Okay, so call Animal Control then. If that is the environment that those dogs are living in, Animal Control will for sure take them out of there.

Or you could always Man Up and go talk to your neighbors about it, regardless of your preconceptions of who they might be. You don't know them, so don't judge them before you even go over there and talk to them.

Seriously? You think your dog is picking up on their bad behavior? Maybe your dog is just acting like a dog, and needs a good whack on the nose? Try reading a book on being owning dogs.

Better yet, eat a handful of mushrooms and go be a dog for a while. I think you could use the perspective.

OP, just go buy 2 shock collars, hop the fence at night and put the collars on the dogs.

They will shut the fuck up.

this thread was really about me venting so I probably don't actually throw the bacon surprise over the fence.

That is a dilemma. But what you are doing is actual work, and I'm sure it brings you in some sort of income (or it's just a hobby). Leaving your dogs out all day and night is neglect, which explains why they bark anytime they see you or your dog.

Confronting them does sound like the less appealing of the options. But honestly, killing them will come around to haunt you.

Realistically, I'd go with the Animal Control approach. Just throw all of your dogs shit into their yard, and try to hit their dogs with it too. Make them and their living environment look so disgusting that Animal Control has no choice but to take the dogs for their health and safety. Take photos of the dogs out in the rain and things like that. Trust me, this route will be much easier in the long run than poisoning them in some way.

OP maybe you should kill your neighbors instead of their dogs lol

Jk don't do that, but if you do, I didn't tell you too.

I used to have a neighbor with a couple of Jack Russell terriers that got noisy at all the wrong times.  I was often angry at the owners.  Never was I stupid enough to blame a pinned up dog fom expressing the pain of imprisonment and neglect.

yes, I love it. I brought this idea up in the thread earlier but it was overshadowed. the dogs still may end up dead in a shelter though.

I currently own two Malamutes. One is a Purebred, and the other is a interesting mix of something. But I know what it's like to own Malamutes, and I am VERY sorry to hear your story. They are some of the most intelligent, funny, loyal dogs I have ever seen.

I hope that fuck has what's coming to him.

You know what... I thought the same thing haha. I typed it up, but didn't have the heart to actually say it. But yes, more than likely the dogs will just be put down at the shelter. But at least it won't be by your hand! And euthanization is probably a little less painful than poison

If by PETA, you mean the "People Eating Tasty Animals" society, then why yes, of course I am a member! I love killing animals that taste good and have nutrients. Unlike a shit covered dog, which there is no reason to kill and eat.

You don't have to be a member of PETA to think it's fucked up to kill someone's dog just because it won't quit barking.

Well, how about this, have the courtesy to warn your neighbors about it first. So, then it's their fault, they had fair warning

"Hey, man, I'm just gonna let you know; If you can't keep your dogs quiet, you ain't gonna have 'em much longer."

Simple as that.

Then again, I'm an asshole. I won't deny that.

I've encountered this problem before, OP.

The only solution I was able to come up with was using an anti bark device. http://www.ultimatebarkcontrol.com/ That's not the only one, so you may want to shop around if you decide to go that route.

It seems to work fairly well and the dog that barks now barks way less. It's not completely silent, but the improvement makes life tolerable now. They also burn through batteries like a bitch (just something to be aware of).

Failing that, dogs really like the taste of antifreeze.

I just moved in and can see all of this already. they're fucking slobs that don't even want the dogs. they don't even let them inside, probably because they don't want their meth lab to get knocked over.

this right here---obviously these folks aren't the kind of folks you could reason with and definitely don't want to be friends with but if you call the animal control you're definitely going to start some shit--definitely don't take it out on the dogs---no such thing as bad dogs just bad owners--tis a hell of a situation if you ask me with them being your neighbors and all--and they're probly just crazy/drunk enough to do some stupid shit--ahh hell??

I can't really see the dogs other than their movement due to the random shit they have all over their yard. they don't seem to be on chains but free roaming backyard dogs 24/7. they don't bother me except when they disturb my dog training. it's impossible for her to concentrate on me when they're screaming at her.

I really wanted to go over there and blast its fucking head off. My god I hate such shitty neighbors who let their dog bark for 30 mins to an hour when its past 11 PM. Like what the fuck.

So I guess cars shouldn't drive on your street or children play in your neighborhood or any of 1,000 other things that make noise? The dog shit I'll agree with, no one likes stepping in it, not even the owners.

You should take your dog out to walk every day so it gets more action than just going in the back yard and getting yapped at.

I normally don't get into shit like this. But you didn't have to call him a moron, because anyone with half a brain that read your posts can see that you started with wanting to murder dogs.  With the murder weapons rotting, becoming more toxic as we speak.  Then everyone told you how horrible you were, then came the "But you guise! Be on my side! My neighbors live in a trailer and act like meth heads!" posts.  Then the "I posted here so I wouldn't do it" posts.  THEN the "I wouldn't even kill them unless they hurt my cats".  You back peddled so hard.

So, no. Muistrue does NOT look like a moron.

I was really just venting and got a bad rating for it. some people don't know how sarcastic I am. I will however throw my dog's and my cat's shit into their yard, like they'd even notice. it's a good disposal site though.

I almost got a standard dachshund, but couldn't find any breeders so I then fell in love with the shiba inu. this is my shiba and I want her well trained. it's hard to do when she sees other dogs acting up. it's ridiculous to think I could do the training indoors. there's not enough space.

WTF are you trying to train him to do that there's not enough room inside somewhere? Unless your house is cluttered up like you're a damn hoarder or something.. Sit, stay, shake, play dead, roll over, etc etc  none of this shit requires a lot of room.

I live in a relatively small room with a giant dresser, king sized bed, weight bench, elliptical, and 2 computer desks and I was able to train my dog just fine indoors.

I don't bother getting my animals registered because I get them all fixed and they stay with me for life. I don't need to raise their value. that just makes them more liable to be stolen, so I don't know what it costs. my dog is a little girl. she has spent 8 months with her breeder in a crate most of her life and i'm trying to get her use to a normal life. if there was an option to let them play together I would, but she'd probably kill them since it's her nature and I don't trust the neighbors to be up on their shots and parasite medications.

yeah, my dog lets me know when she has to pee or poop, but once we get outside, she gets distracted and too upset from the other dogs to go, so she ends up shitting and pissing in the house while i'm sleeping. this is what the neighbors are doing to my life. this is a new house that I moved into Monday, and we used to live in the wilderness with no neighbors within earshot. once I get better, I might move back, but leave my machines here. I do have deer and a pack of coyotes here though, just no cougar, bobcat, elk, or bear. both properties have nice springs.

everybody that sees my dog says I should breed him---he is purty and from good genetics--a lot of weiner dogs I see have jacked up backs and look bad--back problems are kind of common with this breed--and a lot of it is genetic---my guy is long and straight and beautifully marked---I am fully aware of the health benefits of having him fixed and its unarguably the way to go--I was either going to have him fixed or get papers so I could make a little cash or give a pup to a family member or good friend and let my little guy have some fun--lol--my mom LOVES my dog and id like to get one--her dog died bout 2 months ago--had him 12years

Oh yeah, that sounds logical; throw your scat at the neighbours. Great deductive reasoning.

So I guess cars shouldn't drive on your street or children play in your neighborhood or any of 1,000 other things that make noise? The dog shit I'll agree with, no one likes stepping in it, not even the owners.

I am talking about the dogs that wont shut up. A couple barks is no big deal but some animals keep going on and on, and then often others join in and it never stops. I personally think the city is no place for dogs and ownership should be banned within city limits.
