Monotubs advice needed.

I'm going to swallow my pride and really ask for some help here in understanding.
I don't get the monotub thing at all, nor do I understand RH. I always have condensation, I read that some people don't have condensation.
What size holes do we use here? I've read 1" all the way up 2" for hole size. I've seen mono's with 1/4" holes all around the sides, I've seen Frank's method, I've seen a No hole set up, I've seen people tape the tops down or use weather stripping for a tighter seal. Then I read people taking the poly out of there mono's.
So if I follow Frank's set up, I just keep adjusting the poly to dial it in? What exactly are all the signs to know it's all dialed in and what are the signs to know it isn't? I can read on these forums all day long and get contradicting answers and I can point them out. I don't get why I don't understand this, and it's irrating to me.
Does my air condioner affect all of thi? do I still need a fan in the room, if it's on.
I have 12 57 quart totes that are getting ready to be filled. I just need help with understanding all of this. Some things just don't make sense.

I just do four hols on each side, two high and two just above where your substrate lies stuffed with polyfill. Now it can be tight in the bottom and looser on the top but its not incredibly important as long as there is some gas exchange. I keep a fan oscillating near but not directly on the tub. Now if you have your substrate in the tub at field capacity than once you put the lid on the tub you shouldn't have to mist it at all until it fruits, you should see condensation on the tub and if you don't its either too dry or your polyfill isn't tight enough. Its all about humidity with mushrooms remember its a life form so it wants to live it just needs light and humidity. I think FAE is a bit overrated to be honest, important but overrated especially when you consider all the oxygen already contained in that tub but if your worried open her up and fan once a day and you should be good man.

Thanks, like how tight on the bottom? Like incredibly stuffed tight or just tight? If it has a ring around it, does that mean it's not tight enough?
Another question is casing, how does that affect everything else if there isn't one?

I do two 1 to 1 1/2 inch holes (depending on which drill bit I can find at the time in my mess of a house) on each long side of the bin right above the substrate level and one hole on each side near the top of the bin. Tape during colonization, tight poly at the bottom and loose at the top for fruiting. It really is a simple process, no need to be intimidated by it. Condensation is fine, as long as you have the basic construction right you will have plenty of humidity.

Oh and a properly constructed monotub will fruit just fine with no casing layer, and I have never really seen a benefit to casing a monotub personally.

Stuff the bottom holes very tightly, and top holes loosely.

Thanks all. When I get ready to fruit, I will update this and see if things look right.
