Cortinarius identification
    #18708444 - 08/15/13 10:11 AM (10 years, 5 months ago)

Found this morning growing in a damp, mossy part of deciduous forest with
mostly birch, plus some rowan, salix and maple.

Mature caps around 4 cm across. Flesh fragile, stem hollow. Faint farinaceous odor.

In the morning sunshine they appeared slightly more yellow than is visible in the pictures.

I don't like your chances of anyone here giving you a species ID on a little brown European Cortinar :frown:

I wouldn't even know where to start trying to ID it... but maybe Euro species are easier than Aussie ones.
