Nothing really changes, just keep your water at a level so you don't run it dry. I fill my presto so that the water is a little less than half on the quart jars.

This is way more water then you need, and will lead to longer proper sterilization times.
You only need to fill to just below your canning rack (or whatever you are using to keep your jars off the bottom of the PC)
Only about two inches of water is needed for a 23 quart.

I have gas, but I crank it on high, wait till steam is venting constantly, put the rocker on, let it hit about 10psi, then put the range to about medium. It will hit 15psi, so I start the timer then.
I will fine tune it till it just quietly hisses a little steam a few times a minute. No need to have the rocker jiggling all the time, you will lose a bunch of water.
Mark that position on your dial once you get it tuned with a sharpie.

I use a gas stove. I start with the heat on high. Once the vent is spewing constant steam and the pressure gauge shows about 1 psi or so, I then pop on the weight. Once it hits 15psi and starts venting I back the heat way down to like 10%. You will have to find the sweet spot on your stove that will allow the PC to maintain pressure and vent at the intervals suggested by your manual.

Easiest way? There are 3 fill lines, fill it to the lowest one. Super easy.

The bottom mark on the inside wall of your pc is the 3 quart mark. That is the one you want. Vent steam for 5 to 10 min before adding the rocker.
