Hello, I'm new to hunting and just wondering if this could be panaeolus cinctulus. Was found on rotting stump in woods.

P. cinctulus grows only on horse dung and occasionally in grass. So, no, unfortunately. Some pictures would help tough.

Nope, try looking in healthy well irrigated lawn turf or horse manure (Or other herbivorous manure in case horse manure is rare in your area).  Panaeolus cinctulus does not grow on wood or have brown spores.

The pictures in your gallery may be an Agrocybe species.
