Looks good but you seem to have the grunt of your growth near the bottom and not really anywhere on the sides or top this should tell you that you are having a bit of a micro climate going on or not enough spraying

Yah I spray like 5 tomes a day. That's where the pins formed in vitro. Should I still spray more? And I am using an sgfc to spec.

couldn't tell you if you were using it to spec without proper pictures. If you want to make life easy use a larger vermiculite next time i have great results with it. And the reason you are getting so much growth from the bottom is the verm and lid are creating a micro climate if you can roll your next ones better you will have better results. I personally have moved on from doing alot of cakes and now am using poo bags. WORK GREAT! Posting some abnormalities today!

i think my issue though is that there is nowhere in my house that there wont be a fan in the room, i guess i should just mist more, i put some more cakes in today and kept them somewhat close together to create a micro-climate between them, thanks for advice

Put them in the room with the smallest fan or just choose to have a window open in the room and use the fans in the other rooms as back pressure to draw in fresh air and circulate the room.

Pins from the bottom is perfectly normal and you should probably only be concerned if it DOESN'T happen. I don't think GITM really knows a great deal about this, so don't rely too heavily on his advice and wait for a Trusted Cultivator to respond. No bluing on the cake says that they're getting the right amount of moisture and I see no signs of insufficient FAE. To me, that cake looks damn fine! I reckon your second flush will be tops if you keep doing what you're doing.

RR even states that pinning only on the bottom is a sign of lack of evaporation. If that cake was dunked and rolled properly it would have pins coming out in all directions. Did you use gypsum? You can trust me im a cultivator!

If your cakes are only pinning on the bottom, it indicates loss of substrate moisture and/or low humidity as already said above. RR

Well I known I have low RH because my stems are hollow but there isn't anywhere that doesn't have a fan or ac. Would a 90+ degree shed be and option?

I'm guessing bill just spray it more often to counter act the air flow. Luckily these will probably be ready soon enough for a decent trip. Its been awhile Lol.

I hope you meant to say "finer vermiculite" That is what you want to roll your cakes in. The course stuff doesn't stick to the cakes very good. If all you have is the course verm you can stick it in a coffee grinder or blender and pop the button a couple times. You don't want to turn it into powder. You want to make it like bread crumbs like you'd roll chicken and in
