What.cd Invites?

I'm looking for an invite to what.cd or something similar.. There's a whole bunch of obscure electronic music I'm looking for that I can't find anywhere (or afford to actually buy at this moment in time ).
I don't have anything really to offer other than gratitude and I figured this is worth a shot.
Thanks

Yeah well good luck with that. Not many people will risk getting their account fucked for some random.

Eh I don't like what.cd that much. What I've gotten from it is you have to download everything and anything that's currently being heavily shared, whether or not you like it, if you want to have any sort of share ratio whatsoever.
Everyone already has everything (and is sharing it), but since you have to have a high ratio to even use the sight, you don't often get to download shit.
I prefer soulseek. Just wish it'd have more users.

my key to what.cd has just been filling requests.
you can look through the requests in the 50-100gb range, and its pretty easy to find a recent request thats been there only a few weeks, that has a link to purchase an album for 10-20$.
then you just upload it and you get the upload credit. i mean 50-100gb of upload credit on a music website is really alot of leeway.
i gave up trying to seed normally, the competition is too much and my connection is too shitty.
there are alot of other ways to gain ratio though, such as transcodes and just finding stuff that isn't in the current catalogue
but yeah, for me i mostly just go with requests, its the easiest and most effective way for myself!

Or you can rip albums and be the first uploader. I've downloaded 2.5GB, and I've uploaded 15GB. What.cd is fantastic - just because you are incapable of keeping a ratio doesn't mean that it doesn't have the best curated selection of any music tracker in the world.
Soulseek / other inferior trackers are fine most of the time, but they do not have the quality, selection, or speed of what.cd. I only use it when I have to.

I've been here 7 years man.. worth a shot right? I've got a fair bit of obscure psy in flac / wavs that I've gotten off of the producers.. My understanding is that it's good for hard to find music.
Failing what.cd, what else is out there for music? I'm actually looking for decent quality shit too, like 320kbps mp3s or flac / wavs.

Soulseek isn't a tracker, and it isn't inferior. I don't feel like paying money to pirate, which is part of what what.cd forces you to do (buying your ratio, or buying CDs and uploading them to increase share ratio).
I'm part of many private trackers, and the only way it's advantageous is if you get in at the start or when things are really hot. Right now anyone who joins what.cd is forced to spend money if they want their ratio to go up in any way (whether it be by purchasing and ripping CDs or by purchasing your ratio).

i think soulseek is great for electronic music. there are alot of DJ's who use soulseek, and they share alot of their files. there are some people on there with amazing collections. i remember there used to be scene dj's on slsk who used to get pre-release tunes of big name artists, which was pretty cool
lately ive been trying to get into deep bass nine, which is some extremely rare and closed drum 'n' bass community, it has tonnes of exclusive VIP tunes that are really tough to find anywhere else on the net.

I haven't purchased a single CD to upload to be where I am. I download a bunch of music during freeleeches and that is where I got most of my ratio from.

I see some things are on freelech just generally.. is there anyway to scope them out, without specifically knowing what they are?

click "Torrents" at the top,
then look towards the middle right area of all the option boxes where it says "Leech status" , set it to "Freeleech" , and then click "Filter Torrents"
this will then return all current freeleech items
you can do the same for "Neutral Leech" -- this means that you can download for free, however, anythign you upload doesn't count to your upload total. where as with FL, its free to dl, and counts towards uploads.
still have a wander through and see if theres anything you want to dl in the free/neutral leech catalogues!
