WBS Jar- Mycelium or Contam?
    #18707883 - 08/15/13 06:02 AM (10 years, 5 months ago)

So SWIM inoculated these jars about two weeks ago; I have six of them. There was no growth in the first week, as I wasn't home and neglected to set up some heating, so they were too cold. For the past four days or so I've had the heater on in my cupboard with a box with the jars in. Anyway, does this look like Mycelium or cobweb or something?

How long can I expect the colonization to take?

Will the growth be okay if it's not always within the ideal temperature range? I can't keep my heater on 24/7. Is there a way I can keep the heat in the jars somehow?

Looks like myc to me  Just forget about the heater. They will be fine at room temp. They took a while to get going because your spores were germinating. They will take 2 to 3 weeks. Shake jar vigorously at 25 to 30 percent colonization. Do more research. :goodluck:
