My style of kenpo takes advantage of the fact that most people think of a fight as both people taking turns on the offensive, switching between attempted punches and then blocking their counterattacks.
The angle of my fighting style is to have the mentality of being on the constant assault - Overwhelm them with rapid blows and thoroughly confuse their pre-programmed reactions to your motions.
It's also very fast and dirty. If I get into a fight I do not fuck around with the shoving and the punches. It's right to eye gouging, groin attacks, smashing their face into my knee etc.
Once you get them confused with constant assault then incapacitated with one of these highly painful attacks the takedown is easy...
from there it's a choice of whether you want to knock out, maim, or kill.
specifically in response to the OP, i'll take your question seriously now.
In a situation where you are fighting somebody who is bigger than you, you want to get in closer to them so that they cannot use their longer arms and legs to their advantage. Since they weigh more, they also have more momentum during their motions. Getting them to make an aggressive jab and dodging or block it then use their added momentum (and thus slower motion) to get in close and make the very rapid assault I explained above.
I have only had to use my training twice in my life but both times the adversary was incapacitated rather quickly

I'd try to defuse the situation with words first. If that fails and it's clear I'm about to fight, I'll try to strike first and go for vitals. Box the ears, finger jab the eyes, hit the biceps/knees, stomp his toes, etc. Vitals make the biggest giant as vulnerable as a baby - plus typically size and speed are trade offs.

And I will bring you out from the people, and will gather you out of the countries wherein ye are scattered, with a mighty hand, and with a stretched out arm, and with fury poured out.

Yep. your best weapons are
1) your words
then
2) your legs (TO run away!!)
the best fight is one that does not happen

Yours was stupid because it talked of making the big guy tired, as though he was slow. The original post said he was more athletic.
