Overkill?

Hey fellas. Last night I was able to acquire an 8 strip of WoW unperf from the same batch (as I was told) of what I sampled on saturday. I am starting classes in two weeks so I will be holding on to these for a couple months before I can use them. Right now The strip is wrapped snug in two layers of tin foil, in a mason jar (the kind with the rubber seal), two desiccant bags and an oxygen absorber). The jar is sitting in a dark place in a cool room. I had kept other blotters in tin foil and book... should I revert back to that? is the jar necessary?

Probably overkill but it's worth it for good stuff. I know all WoW looks the same but if that's anything like what I've sampled recently I'd be doing the same thing to keep it 100% good haha

Thanks. I will most likely be moving it to the frig later today because it's expensive having to keep this AC on and it will be in a set temperature.

That's what I was doing before, but a book doesn't seem to stay as cool as the jar. The glass is always cold to the touch, and it's about 65 in that room. What concerns me a little bit baout the jar is how much space there is and the oxygen absorber is a small one out of a beef jerky package.

I would think the book would work better since it keeps the hits away from oxygen better. The few degrees difference of a glass jar is probably negligible.

Ah, you're right. I ended up wrapping the mason jar in tin foil, and after it was done I was thinking of how complicated that whole thing was. The oxygen absorber and desiccant isn't sucking up all the oxygen anyways. I'm going to switch it over now. Do you think I should leave the 8 strip in its line or cut it up? I found that wrapping it in foil while it was in the strip came out looking like a gum wrapper, didn't seem as air tight as when I'd huddle the tabs in squares.

I always use plastic wrap, then foil, and then the book. The plastic wrap offers added protection. Make sure the hits are wrapped as tightly as possible.

I Made sure it was wrapped snug in two layers of tinfoil, then stuck it in the crease and put on a shelf. Should be good for a long time.

Blotter wrapped in tinfoil, in a ziploc bag, placed in a plastic container at the bottom of my freezer is still perfectly good after 4+ years.
