Fuck! I'm heading up there on Tuesday. What part of the Peaks? (North/East etc, nothing specific). I thought it was raining on Saturday?

Hi there fellow shroom hunters, this is my first post on this site. Just wanted to tell you that I went out today (North~Eastern Ireland) and was able to find around 50 lovely libs flourishing in a relatively small area, guess it's fair to say my season has begun!
Happy hunting!

:highfive: holy shit man same fucking area!

There are very few on this website from this country (you're the second guy I've met, the first guy was banned a while ago), there are quite a few from the Republic however. Maybe I'll bring a big Shroomery flag to the next 4/20 and try to get this website some publicity :super:

Ha, nice! Good to see. I have actually only ever met one other person on my hunting travels that was there for the same purpose I was, it seems that it's not a very popular thing in my area. Not that i'm complaining as it means I get to be in these largely untouched areas of natural beauty, picking such amazing little caps by myself! Although it would be good to see some more people out there to enjoy it! Have you had any luck so far this year yourself? Can't wait for another few weeks, especially after this rain for it to really kick in to gear!

Normally this area has hundreds and hundreds of them, so once the season really gets underway I'll hopefully be able to post some pictures, I'm quite blessed to live in the mountains!

Belfast!!

Woohoo!  Season is upon us here in N.Ire.  Just picked 140 libs from 1 cluster in long grass.

They were the biggest, most densely grouped cluster of shrooms i've ever seen and the blueing on some of them is insane.

I checked a patch of short grass that yield well and found nothing, had given up and were walking home when i spotted a random shroom on the side of the path.  I went to check it out when I saw a sexy wet nipple poking out of some grass.  When i went to pick it up i realised the entire patch was teaming with them.  pulled 140 from 1 square meter of grass.

Check longer grass, it was damp enough to give them what they needed even though the area was quite dry.  Not a place I'd normally look because it's more effort but after that haul i'm gonna pay more attention.

Gonna upload pics once the GF has sent me them off her phone.

OnlineApathetic:  They are out for sure but not in the numbers to make them easily found, even in areas where i know 100% they will appear, there weren't any because it's a little dry.  With a good dose of rain they will be out everywhere.

I'm from N. Ireland but currently on the Isle of Man.

You might be interested in my old thread - http://www.shroomery.org/forums/showflat.php/Number/11374820

I found them again in a completely different area last year but I think I was a bit too late in the season as they were kinda rotting away.

Happy hunting.
