I doubt it does. If it worked then we would have heard about it by now, though I'm no expert. No harm in trying though, I suppose.
Actually this is a great way to introduce P. semilanceata spores into the right habits for cultivation. This is the only way i know of at present that could succeed as indoor cultivation is very very difficult.
P. semilanceata mycelium grows very slowly compared to other active species so its not some thing thats going to happen over night, but can and has been done.
I'm actually experimenting with this myself at the moment.

It looks like it will take a while to sort through them all to get the grass out but if it make them go moldy i will be up for it!
Not necessary if you want to eat grass. I've done it a few times, no biggie. Not exactly a great tasting meal tho

Excellent day had in the New Forest, could have picked nearly 500!
Could a TI please ID the left hand shroom in the palm of my mate Dave's hand? Just out of interest, ta.
I'm sure there is either P.Strictipes or P.Coprophila growing on the dung down here, but none were picked, too busy elsewhere!
Cheers Jumbo

No grass will not make it mouldy and it will not harm your Libs at all. But you should remove it anyway because you will end up eating it if you don't take it out.
I always put a lot of effert in getting rid of grass and dirt straightaway when picking, it makes life easier, not having to sort it at home.

I'm thinking of searching tomorrow, does time of day matter? Most of these shots look like sunrise; and I'm not sure if I'm that committed, forgive me.

Doesn't make too much difference, the earlier the fresher and they are a whole lot easier to spot before the sun comes up, provided it is going to be sunny of course. Also, as the old saying goes, the early bird gets the mushrooms, or something like that.

Thanks for the ID guys.
Xyclo - yes I'm down on the south coast. The New Forest is great - unlimited access to a lot of it and not many people around!

Where abouts in Ireland are you roughly, no exact location, just out of curiosity?
Haha im in the part where everyone takes hurling to serious! Where cats wear black and amber So im down in a valley, thought it would take longer for libs to get here but not at all, people were posting loads of finds in the UK before I found any, but they came eventually! Persistence is key
Had an amazing night last night... just wow, im so glad i became a part of this magical hobby!
I'd kill to find out where you're talking about. I'll go ask my friend Kenny.
No just curious, and I do know the area, believe it or not! As they say it's a small world. I live in Shroomtown, where the Rats come from. That's my cryptic clue.
I honestly think I just laughed up a lung! You sir are hilarious! I found another 51 today in the same field we were talking about, lots and lots of rain of late!

Hey guys got a question meow! My mate went to a golf coarse and brought 80 libs home.. was delighted.. we ate a couple fresh between the three of us and then made some tea with 40 of them, was expecting a nice trip.. but we went for a stroll afterwards waiting for the madness and nothing much happened at all.. the faintest closed eye visuals is all. Our eyes were wild, pupils were gigantic.. but we didnt trip or anything. I thought we had ruined them making the tea, but the water wasn't to hot and plus we had ate some. Today they came back with 195 libs from the same golf coarse.. I wasnt up for tripping either way, but they ate them all between the two of them, and once again... barely any effects... So the only thing I can think of is that the golf coarse has been sprayed with something maybe?? There eyes were wild again.. but barely any trip.. 195 libs between two people should do some wonderful damage.. whats going on? I have picked from that spot early in the season and I got mashed of 35 libs.. dont understand this.. Anyone shed some light? Thanks amigos!

Did you also make tea the second time? I know you say the water wasn't too hot but yano - exploring possibilities. Some medication can render psychedelic chemicals useless.. i got nothing lol.

Have you tripped recently? Because you get immune to them very quickly ideed. That's happened me before. The good news is the immunity wears off pretty quickly too. Best leave it a couple of weeks before the next trip.
