Hi all, just happened to be near Swindon today and chanced across all of these in a field, what do you think? They look pretty good to me.
I doubt I'll be down that way for quite some time and I'm sure there's lots left, I only had 20 minutes to find these, so PM me if you want to know where the field is

You have some interesting mutant-lib in the top right corner there! But sharing spot info is against forum rules.

Ummmmm "Orange"? that doesn't sound right... sterile libs are fine but the fact you said they are orange and assume they are sterile because it's not "dark" underneath makes me think you don't have libs... I would advise you to post a pic for ID

Made a post Here if anyone would be so kind as to help me out. The season is ending soon and I'm panicking.
Found a couple of spots locally but they're sparse and hard to find enough of them. I did find a fairly good spot but it's miles away but I think I'll probably head back to that spot anyway rather than waste my time about here.
I agree with what someone else said. Avoid so called known hotspots, the likelihood is if it's well known someone will have picked them before you got there, assuming they were there in the first place. Keep looking, they're out there somewhere.

Gonna go for a nice pick this morning, assuming that more have popped up with this never ending rain we're having over here. Gonna take my camera so I'll try and bring back some good snaps in the morning light Hopefully this time they wont be all infested with grubs which was the case a couple of days ago. Ruined the batch Alright guys, in a bit, wish me luck:)

Before everyone goes hunting for any "wavy caps" research heavily. More dodgy to ID in my opionion not as well engrained in the minds of shroomers this side of the Atlantic and plenty of orange lookalikeys aso watch it.
In saying that one of the gardens in my neighbourhood has fruited cyans very nicely indeed with at least 100 specimins in various states just sitting there. Mental to walk 200m from my flat and see extremely potent magic mushrooms growing. They must be temperamental though as lastyear no fruiting, and it was 2 years ago I spotted them.
Look for woodchip beds, not bark chip though. They are everywhere where the council/local authority has done some mulching/landscaping.

Finished my morning walk, sadly only found a few liberty caps; not enough to be worth taking home. But wow what a trek, still glad I went... The hunt is one of the best bits; clambering over fences, finding new pastures, even finding potential tripping spots. It's great On my travels I found lots of other mushrooms, and I have a fair few pictures of all of them for you guys to check out. Any ID's on any of them would be awesome because I think there might be some cyanescens in there, not 100% though. In advance, I apologize for the not so great camera quality, I really ought to get a new one! Here are just some odd mushies I found:

I found these HUGE ones in the corner of a field. I actually found the same mushroom on a trip I had a couple of weeks ago up in the hills. I can tell you when you're tripping these look absolutely crazy and the patterns on the cap look like butterfly wings stuck together repeating themselves over and over.
Someone's been having a nibble on this one...

Get an idea of the size on this pic:
These are some of the few libs I found, the latter one barely even mature and the first two just pins... But I guess I'll go back in a few days to see if any of the pins have developed

Here are what I thought could possibly be cyanescens. I found them on a massive load of mulch on the side of the field where prior to this, logs have been kept sitting on.
These were the only fungi on the mulch, but over the fence in another field I found even more of the stuff with more interesting specimens! Could these be cyanescens also?
Along with those, these were all of the other mushrooms I found on the chippings:

This guy was following my tracks for a while, seemed like he wanted to get in on the myco action...

Cheers guys, good luck with your hunts because you never know what else you can find. Fingers crossed I'll be raking in libs again in no time after a bit of sun!

This thread is a great place to start, there are also a good selection of links in the thread that will signpost you to all the info you would want to read about hunting and cultivating cyans.

 Not sure

Macrolepiota procera - Parasol Mushroom, although these look just past best.
These look like a Peziza of some kind, deffo not cyans.
These look interesting, could be cyans, but need a wider range of shots - profiles, gills, spore prints, test caps edges for blue/green oxidisation, and squish a stem, see if they go blue. Take more pics of these, they could be cyans, but do not eat until 100% confirmation.

These look like a Psathyrella sp, not sure which.

Cheers for that! I'll go take some more pictures of the ones you said could be cyans tomorrow and do what you said. Fingers crossed! And yeah, I wouldn't dare eat them until I fully tested them and got a few people's opinions. Hopefully they'll still be fully in their prime when I go back. Went out for another hunt this afternoon and found around 40 libs, enough for a medium trip
