Can't wait for these to start fruiting by me, there's no high ground round my area so I'll have to wait it out until they fruit on low ground pastures.

Happy hunting everyone

Determined to find some caps this year. I have it from some local sources about a 'magic' valley and another individual who spoke of a certain hill near me where they can usually be found. Needless to say I will be hitting these two places (and more) regularly in the coming months!

Hello all again!

I totally missed the season last year (distractions and work) but this year, I aim to score highly! The weather this summer has been perfect down South and it is JUST starting to turn.... light drizzle, light drawing in in the evenings, very humid and NO torrential rain as yet.

I will be checking up on here regularly and updating you all as to my progress

PEACE!

SHiNK

The police will have ya mate, but go to like a really rural fucking piece of land that is like... off a motorway, rural fields which are untouched by man are good places, basically... anywhere that has large farm yard mammals and doesn't regulary get stepped upon. Off motorways you should look, but... a large farm yard mammal such as a cow or the other kinds would also be good. They tend to grow around neglected animals. I personally think this thread is a bit early aswell because it is still summer. It is usually mid september the best time, halloween well

Hi Valkombar and welcome to the forum! Just wanted to mention that due to certain reasons we do not ask for or mention specific places where Libs grow. You can get advice how when and in what type of environment they can be found. When night temps are not higher than 10 degree Celcius and it has rained for a few days go for long walks during your time off. Look in grassy meadows pastures etc mainly on the north facing side in the beginning of season. Later during the season they also appear in more sunny places and even where the grass appears dry. If you are not sure about what you've picked upload photos in this thread and we will help you identify your specimens. Safety first. Good luck!

Yeah even with the recent rains i don't think i'll be checking surrey until september earliest, there may be the odd one or two popping up but its generally still way too warm in the south, september is supposed to be heat wave part two, hopefully not tho...

Yea, I think in all the excitement of the first lib being found I forgot how early on in the season we are (quite obviousley the start) . I went out for an hour or so but found only a few other species, I'm not sure what they were though.
I will be keeping an eye on the peaks near where I work as kinder scout and mam tor are very close and a few others which always seem to be doused in mist and low clouds which must bee good for mushroom growth. I think a temp drop is needed before things start kicking off properly though. The ball is rolling now, just got to wait for it to pick up some momentum.
