Yeah, I hear it is all the rage for Chinese and Tibetans to eat a lot of mushrooms, get out their credit card, and go on binge shopping and gorge themselves at Mc Donald's.. They seem to top it all off with bragging to each other about how much money they made or how close they were to certain celebrities... and the most common hallucination is of dollar signs and pictures of themselves.. Peace.

Yes, and if they are smart they file it under 'mythology' after 'eastern mysticism.'

hehe. does western mysticism even exist? i was in china and taiwan for a few months last year and those asians are not as spiritual as westerners make them out to be. taiwan pretty much reminded me of the us, like a parallel world with chinks instead - full of chink britneys and christinas. china is bascially 2 classes, the rich and poor. the rich basically 'get out their credit card, and go on binge shopping and gorge themselves at Mc Donald's.. They seem to top it all off with bragging to each other about how much money they made or how close they were to certain celebrities' and the poor are too busy making money to survive to even sit back and ponder on 'useless' things. most of them are too programmed to even question what they are doing.

Maybe you guys should go to China before you start labeling Westerners as the only people that live in a society based on consumerism. Trust me, most chinese people go to work everday in order to CONSUME PRODUCTS just like Westerners do. They don't all walk around basking in the light of The One... Let's not all jump on the it's-cool-to-generalize-westerners bandwagon...

Bah. America's culture is infectious, especially in glitzy Hong Kong. I've heard and see the americanized version of pop culture over there.

no the asians take psychedelics and giggle wondering what we silly westerners think we're thinking edit: lol but of course I'm not asian so this is completely stupid (and I just noticed that, like a westerner, I included interest in myself in the world of others..)

My belief is that asians who take psychedelics develop an interest in our mysterious western guitar music.

Its, true, the Japanese have an insatiable love of melodic death metal.. every good band (IN FLAMES, Children of Bodom, etc) of that genre has released live albums from Tokyo (The Tokyo Showdown, Tokyo Warhearts, etc.)
Okay, yeah, I guess I jumped before I read the word mysticism.. and I don't believe that the Native Americans can be lumped in with western mysticism. We killed them off and shunned their ideals, so it doesn't really count.. they are more Eastern in origin anyways.. Peace.
