Man it's rare people still remain friends after a relationship especially a long serious one. One person usually is left feeling lead on the whole time and then come feelings of jealousy, etc when the other person gets involved with someone new....That's been my experiences and also for some I know at least.
Sorry to hear about this OP, if you feel this was really your right decision then you just got to give yourself some time to eventually move forward.

This sounds somewhat similar to the breakup my ex and I had after a 4 year relationship.
We dated from our senior year of high school till we graduated college and she eventually realized we weren't going to be able to be happy spending the rest of our lives together (I'm not christian and don't want kids) - so she ended things
It hurt for a long time.... really, really bad 
I still haven't even been on a date in the 4 years since we broke up, but I can honestly say I'm happier now getting to travel the world than I would have been if my ex and I had gotten married. I'd still be having to go to church with her on Sundays and would have possibly gotten forced into having a child I really didn't want.
The best path isn't always the easiest
Be confident you made the right decision and keep trucking along
