Do you think that Shroomery users should be able to delete their accounts?

Especially with the emerging evidence that the United States is indeed a police state, I think that it is ludicrous to not offer users the ability to properly delete their accounts. This would not be difficult to implement. Users with hundreds or thousands of posts should not have to spend day(s) deleting posts individually.

Yes, but not their posts. The username for the post should just default to *account removed* or *account deleted* or similar.

No, it removes valuable posts which leads to a worthless website. I'm not finding it difficult to be cautious.
You just have to follow these three things:
1. Be careful how you say things (I encountered or saw instead of I have illegal stuff). 2. Only post pictures that don't reveal where it was taken (against a wall, white back drop, etc). If you're lazy just zoom in. 3. Clear your picture's EXIF data before upload.
Optional: Use a proxy. It's worthless if you haven't been using one all along.

I would say that user's safety and security is more important than the integrity of the site's information. And this isn't even a point because posts could be retained under the name [deleted] a la reddit.

Or don't be a wimp? It's not like their gonna hunt everyone down. By time that shit starts happening 90% of the posts will be how to get into canada.

This one is actually handled automatically when you upload a picture to the shroomery servers. It automatically strips the EXIF data

I've noticed a problem in the post your candy thread. People posting large amounts of drugs using photobucket as hosting, and is linked to their social media. One user posted enough M to get himself quite screwed, and before you know it his photobucket led me to his FB. I contacted him to correct it, dont beleive he has.
Maybe a warning sticky?

Ditto if the posts are deleted as well then we could be losing valuable information.

I was curious about one thing,
Google caches each page correct, but do they do in a manner
where they capture images, or the entire code? so if one was to
ALWAYS post like this
Post Like This
Would it not be able to be read?
Because the fine details are this, even if you delete every post that you've made, there is still a record of them cached somewhere on a databse, whether google or shroomerys and I am unaware of compliance with federal agencies in regards to shroomery.org's policies.

I don't think we should be able to delete our account, it would mess with the continuity of a lot of threads that people read to learn stuff,

That's the thing I don't think posts should be able to be deleted. But that's just my opinion.

No way, no way at all. Too many people would delete their accounts during a paranoid spell, and then later regret it immensely.
