I was walking in a neighborhood in Saettle and found some shrooms growing along the sidewalk in some well watered grass. Once I picked it I immediately noticed a bluish grey ring around the stem. about 1 cm. below the cap.The shroom was a light brown color and is drying light tan. The cap is about 4 cm. circular entire raised. The stem is about 10 cm.I havnt done a spore print yet. Does not bruise blue. Was suprised to ffind any shroom growing this time of year since it is so dry but the grass was green so the area is well watered. About 50 shrooms are growing in the area. The grass was not high so the caps are receiving direct sunlight. The bluish grey ring (annulus?) seems to have spilled some of its color onto the stem just below the annulus. From this description is this what a blue ringer is? are they better eaten fresh or dry? I hear it takes alot of them to trip. Are there any poisonous look alikes? Do blue ringers have a dark blue ring or a greyish blue ring? Thanks.
