I am in Norway right now, and I definitely plan on taking a trip to Amsterdam before my year here is out.. I plan on renting a hotel room and smoking all sorts of indica, especially Blueberry and Northern Lights, and getting some mushrooms and peyote.. I think it should be a fun ole' time... Peace.

some hotel room is just not my idea of a great setting to be tripping in. to each his own i guess.... i definitely prefer being outside, nowhere even close to a hotel or anything like it, when i eat mushrooms.
in the cold months, when that's impossible, i like going the silent darkness route.

Going off on my own, staying in a room where I will not be distracted and taking an inner journey sounds good to me..
And thank god that there is a society like the Netherlands where I can buy mushrooms legally... Peace.

Fireworks when your in holland go to the city hall and check the log books. All the same drugs that are illegal in america are illegal holland except for the fact holland has a few more loopholes to get around their laws with a few drugs like shrooms.
POT IS STILL ILLEGAL IN THE NEATHERLANDS. Why cant you understand this?

Hhm.. didn't technically say that it wasn't illegal, did I? But there is a big difference than getting a couple of days in jail and a $600 fine in America (which includes an illegal search on the officer's part, I had not done anything illegal and he "suspected" that the lump in my pocket was a bowl) and being able to go into a City Chartered coffee shop that specializes in the selling of marijuana, mushrooms, and peyote, a big difference where the society just lets you live your own life and make your own choices on what you do with yourself..
Yeah, the United States government keeps drugs (soft or hard) illegal and criminal because they truly, honestly believe that (at least the soft ones) are a complete health and social hazard to the well being of the person and others. That the United States is honestly looking out for the well being of its citizens and is not motivated in any way for financial reasons. Marijuana is just killing our kids, isn't it? Oh, wait, there isn't a company selling marijuana here that unloads millions of dollars towards campaign contribuitons to protect their interests...
I mean, it is so important that we keep a drug so dangerous and unhealthy as marijuana away from our citizens, I mean, why can't these pot heads be smoking cigarettes that show no real benefit of smoking them, and are known to cause hundreds of well-documented health risks, many of them FATAL. Hmm..... Money doesn't play a role? Or even the starring role?
I believe that you are the funny guy here, but I am not exactly laughing.. Peace.

And, as you said, "except for the fact holland has a few more loopholes to get around their laws with a few drugs like shrooms."
I guess I forgot to put the word "effectively" before the words "completely legal". That's a fault on my part.
So, what is your personal opinion on the whole Drug War? Justified? What do you think about the drugs themselves?
And, to look at the issue from a different angle, Bush once passed a law making political assasinations legal. I kid you not. I can start searching for an article, it happened almost right when he came into office.. anyone recognize this? Anyways, it is still illegal to kill someone, but just throwing in a minor loophole creates the possibility of a wall being smashed in.. Peace.

i didn't say that.
i just wanted expose a widespread rumor. because of the UN, contrary to popular opinion, cannabis is not legal in the netherlands. they just have a policy of looking the other way. if you already knew this, it didn't sound like it from what you were saying before.
So, what is your personal opinion on the whole Drug War?
i think that it is religious persecution for the new millenium.
Justified?
of course not.

Of course, there are laws in Medicino County that allow for citizens to grow up to so much marijuana for their own, personal use..
Just like their are laws in The Netherlands that make it legal for these shops to operate and sell marijuana.
There are laws in both cases that contradict them. So I guess that you couldn't label either as "legal", or "illegal", just.. hhm... maybe, "whichever you prefer"? hehe
I know which one I prefer.. Peace.

The fact is pot is illegal in the neatherlands period. Dont dismiss. This and who are you directing your sacastic rant at about why pot should be legal. I dont think a single person in this forum disagrees that it should legal.

Don't dismiss? What I am saying is that there is a big difference in it being illegal here and it being "Illegal" in the Netherlands.
Yeah, when I'm there this year, I'll smoke a nice big blunt while I am sitting in the park, by the canals, walking down the street.. and I'll think of you when I am doing it, all those people that miss the point..
I am not turning this into a rant about why it should be legal. This is about the U.S.'s policies and why they are in place in the first place.
But, I guess I am not even allowed to question anything the United States does or says, and if I do, I am eloquently "proven wrong", anyways.. am I right?
Open your eyes, man You'll ssseeeeeee things..... Peace.
