You wouldn't G2G to a pf cake.
1) I am pretty positive that this wouldn't work as the process for grains and PF tek are entirely different from each other.
2) It's counter productive as the point of grain, specifically G2G, is to increase the output of your fastest colonizing jar and get a larger/ possibly more potent and consistent yield than PF tek.
If those are your cakes in your sig I can understand wanting to move forward. But monotubs are no harder than PF tek. And you are always going to have to use a germinated spore to start the process - you can only transfer your mycelium so many times before it starts to weaken.

Not really but I can tell you how I prepare it. You really want quart jars though . . .
I pressure cook it at 10 psi for about an hour
Rinse VERY well, I leave it in the pc and keep filling it up until the water starts to clear up.
Then I spread it out on a towel until the kernels feel dry to the touch
Then I load in the jars and pc at 15psi for 90 minutes
Sometimes I throw in a tiny amount of 50/50 verm/coco to absorb any excess water
I inoculate through pre-made a slicone injection port, or G2G or agar transfer in a SAB.

It appears to colonize faster as the initial mycelium has issue breaking done the husk. If one were to use a corn product cracked corn > popcorn.
And as far as the wieners - you must have never gone to chat roulette....

such a shame... i know i just joined shroomery but i have been reading here since 2004...didnt ever think id pick up mycology in my life but now its all i dream about! now that ive joined i have been glued to my computer. my poor daughter and boyfriend are neglected while i read "show your junk!" lol actually before my bf left for work we just sat on the forum here reading random posts for entertainment... hes impressed none the less! ive had too much fun and its thanks to all the lovely people here who put their 2 cents in!
