i picked a bunch or reishi, i intend to pick more and stock up, any tips on drying? i dry chanterel;les by splitting them up and letting them dry on a screen over the fridge, will reishi also dry this way?

i sliced ,sawed, them into 1/4 inch slices with a sharp serrated knife and dried them on a screen with a small fan blowing over them.

IME almost no effort is needed to dry them.  Their moisture content is so low that just setting them on the counter does the trick.  Anything extra is just a bonus :wink:

Once dried you can grind it and make tea, or make a tincture.

To make powder I slice saw up the mushroom while it is still fresh into small cubes, then I dry it. Once it is in small cubes I pound it with my big'ole motar and pestle, or I use a coffee grinder. To make a tincture I soak it and wet it in the alcohol that I am using and blend it in a blender.

That is a good idea. Cheese grater attachment on food proccessors should work well then too..
