casing taking forever

so i put my wbs cake into a casing almost 2 weeks ago now...i checked it today to see it itd be ready to pin and such...but theres only a few spots with growth...the rest is still verm...why is my casing taking so damn long?

whats the temp, humidity, casing mix, etc. that info is pretty much needed to tell you what the problem is.

its my 1st time doing casings...i dont know temp or humidity....i just put an inch of verm on the bottom, then the broken up cake on top of that, then another layer of verm...when i opened up the trash can i got them in i could feel the heat of the air...it wasnt that hot, but still warming than my room, and my room is around 70 degrees....i got the perlite with water in the trash can...and my casing sitting on top of that with tinfoil covering it for now...i took off the tinfoil to take a peek and water was all over it inside.....but there was only a few patches of growth....

that sucks.....the other jar i had also stopped growing in the jar..there was a little chunk of seeds that it wouldnt grow on......i gave that one to my friend cuz it was a joint grow...we tried getting 8 jars..but 6 contammed....now his casing is turning green....he said he was checking it over and over...which is why i think it got contammed...or that he just sucked at making the casing.....mine doesnt look contammed yet...
