How to Properly Dunk a Mad Bag

I just got my Mad Season Bags. I noticed the substrate is dry looking, and loose. I know it's a long way away, but how do I "dunk" the bag after the first flush? Won't dunking it dissolve the already loosely packed substrate?

The myc will hold it all together into a single spongy lump. Small flecks will come off it of course, but nothing to worry about.
I haven't had the best experience with those bags (TOOK %&$#ing FOREVER) but I wish you luck sir.

Mine took forever too. Like over 3 months! I was about to give up on them! But they flushed about 3 times each! Never dunked them. But what I did do was cut the bag open for FAE and misted once ever day. Yielded over 12 g total

Yeah same here. Took forever to colonize! Good thing I started pf tek jars at the same time. They only took 3 weeks to colonize and another to fruit. To hell with those stupid bags! Lol

Elastical Tiger's 'How to properly dunk a mad bag' Tek.
Optional: Wash hands.
1) Cut open bag
2) Fill pot or large enough vessel with water
3) Remove the colonized substrate from the bag and rinse in gently running water. If some pieces fall off don't worry.
4) Put fully colonized / consolidated substrate into vessel with water.
5) Place dish or something similar on top of floating substrate to submerge it as much as possible.
5) Wait up to 24 hours. Remove from water, rinse in gently running water again.
6}) Replace in bag for fruiting or be smart and build a shotgun fruiting chamber and fruit like a cake.
Optional: Consider the greater rewards of learning to make your own brown rice flour jars and your own fruiting chamber. Such sacred knowledge would allow you to grow mushrooms whenever you wanted. You're friends may even think you've become a wizard.
The pieces that may have fallen off your mad bag can be dunked and fruited just like the large cake.

Or just pull the bag away from the sides of the substrate and pour a small pitcher of water in and let it soak it up.
No need to go all-out and damage the hell out of your substrate. Every time I opened up a bag and treated the big thing like a half-pint cake, I just got a damaged substrate, poor recovery, and mold.
