I did some volunteer work at this bad-ass animal sanctuary in Green Bay a few years ago.
I'd do it again if I still lived up there.

See I really want to work at an animal shelter but the wait time is like 6 months.

This wasn't a shelter really.
They had a pack of Timber Wolves, Mountain Lions, Owls, Eagles, Hawks, fish, abondoned animals, all sorts of awesome critters
Was really fucking sweet!

I got to enter all the raptor and owl cages and feed them their mice or chickens. Was face to face with about 24 different owls a good chunk of the day.

I just made a huge difference in a child's life today,possibly a super-positive life altering change,with a simple compliment.
Am I the only one?

Rocks speak to me, and tell me this:
The Hell Creek formation is a gigantic slab of rocks that covers several western states. It contains an account of the dinosaurs' demise.  In the late Cretaceous period, the first Cannabis species appear, and soon after, all the non-bird dinosaurs disappeared. Obviously, marihuana killed the dinosaurs. That giant meteor that smacked the yucatan peninsula right afterwards, coincidence.

No, I don't volunteer.

Also if I had to go to a Boys and Girls club as a child I would have been pissed. :crankey:

This wasn't volunteer work. This was an average ordinary everyday situation where a little girl was made fun of,or a sensitive young man was picked on,and some random stranger was there to step up and make a difference in someones' life.
Too much trouble for you,fine.
I'll take up your slack.

You mean like community service? That's for drunks and wife beaters, not decent folk like us.

I was obviously responding to the OP, you were just the last one to reply and I didn't bother to change who I was replying to.

I'd be pissed if I was one of the people you helped as well. That means I got shit on and you need to make me feel better.

At this point in my life I got too many of my own problems to volunteer.

I was actually considering doing some volunteer work when I got my license back, I kind of expected to get community service for my probation but I never did.

Plus it will look good ti my PO/judge so it's a win win

I volunteered with a place called A Child's Place before. It helped out homeless children in the classroom

I've also done some random volunteer gigs to help out kid's with disabilities and such

I frequently take personal hygiene items to the troubled teens home that's in my city. I use coupons a lot at the store and I'm always finding some ridiculous deal where I'm getting things for free or dirt cheap, but who really needs 20 containers of toothpaste.

I would love to volunteer walking dogs or helping out at the shelters, but i honestly think I would commit suicide eventually because I can't handle seeing animals in cages, sad and shit.

fucking aye just typing that made my eyes tear up.
