mycelium on sides of casing containers...
    #1859719 - 08/28/03 06:11 PM (13 years, 3 months ago)

my bud cased his jars a few days ago, when he looked today, there was mycelium chunks growing on the walls of his casing container about 2 inches above the soil...when he crumbled the cakes and put them in there, a few pieces of colonized wbs must've got stuck to the wall. It's only happening in one container in like 2-3 spots. should he pull it off of the wall? he doesnt want the chunk to slide off and contaminate his casing...the sides were sterilized, but still...
Thanks

perfectly normal, as it progresses don't be surprised to see strands of mycelium growing in a root-like pattern along the sides, if your lucky you'll even see a pin and small fruits growing from them(with no casing material touching at all!) you can mist these strands gently.
