Popular products include Drierite and DampRid. What other products do people use in case these cannot be found?

Whenever I want to dry something, I put it in a sealed box with some anhydrous calcium chloride. I can get this at about ?4/kg, for dehumidifiers. It is sold in a local supermarket. I've never tried it with mushrooms, but I can't see why it wouldn't work.

You can bake Epsom salt in the oven until its really dry. Break it up a few times while you bake it. Bake at around 350*F until dry. This works pretty good when no other options are available.
