Grateful Dead 6/26/94 video???
    #1858805 - 08/28/03 11:48 AM (20 years, 7 months ago)

I have videos of Hell in a Bucket, Peggy-O, and So Many Roads from this performance, and Hell... and So Many Roads have some psychedelic video sequences added.

However, this performance is not listed among any of the DVDs or VHSs that I've heard of or found online. It's not a View from the Vault or other release, and I've checked deaddisc.com and a few other sites.

Does anyone have any info on how to get the whole show or if it was released, etc??? Thanks.

I didn't buy them .  They're from Kazaa.  You should download the Peggy-O one (pretty easy to find).  It's maybe the best version I've ever heard (although I haven't heard more than maybe 10-12 version of it).

Is that the last show? And if not,.....

1) When was the last show?

2) What was the last song played?

3) Did Chinacat go to that show?

Last show was 7/9/95 at Soldier Field in Chicago. Here's the setlist:

Set 1: Touch of Grey, Little Red Rooster, Lazy River Road, When I Paint My Masterpiece*, Childhood's End, Cumberland Blues, Promised Land

Set 2: Shakedown Street, Samson & Delilah, So Many Roads, Samba In The Rain, Corrina > Drums > Space > Unbroken Chain, Sugar Magnolia, E: Black Muddy River, Box Of Rain

So Box of Rain was the last song. Sort of fitting.

My crazy stoner uncle and aunt (brother and sister) were at that show too. They both swore off going to any "psudo-dead" event after jerry died, but my uncle came to the Joliet show this year with us. God damn, why couldnt I have been born atleast 10 year earlier.

I was at the Chicago Solider Field show in 1995. Although, I wasnt a deadhead, I was more into the party/rave/house scene and went with my sister and her boyfriend. But I respected and understood the psychedelic culture at hand.

I believe that Chinacat had retired from the road long before that show.

I thought Chinacat said he toured for 8 years from 87 to 95. I could be wrong, though.

I was there. I don't remember it ,but I would have been there.
I started going to shows in the mid 80's. Between 87-95 I very, very rarely missed a Grateful Dead or Jerry Band show. I retired in 95 when Jerry passed on. I would still be on the road if Jerry was playing. I would give anything to be able to spend one more night in the presence of Jerry and his guitar.

I do remember that vegas run. The intense heat plus all the cheap drinks at the casinos made for a draining time. Lots of people got sick because they drank all night and day then went to the show were it was 100 degrees. Don't remeber jack about the shows except we were glad to move on.

Hehe, could have been. And they most defenetly put on an amazing show, Let the Good Times Roll>The Wheel>Built to Last blew me away and I was pretty happy they played St Stephen/The Other One. I'll never forget looking at the bolts of lightning going off all around the raceway yet there being not one drop of rain (until a hour after the show of course). Ah, such good memories, I would give a lot to see a show like that again.

The setlist for the Joliet show was sick, as was the music of course .  I was getting an echo off the back wall, but other than that it was great.  Here's the complete setlist:

Set 1: Let the Good Time Roll > The Wheel > Built to Last, Goin' Down The Road Feeling Bad *, Senor*, Around and Around*, Self Defense, Throwing Stones

Set 2: St. Stephen > The Eleven > Born Cross-Eyed > Sugaree > Jam > Dark Star > Peggy-O > Cryptical Envelopment > Drums > Space + > The Other One # > Dark Star # > Stella Blue, E: Not Fade Away #

That video you have is actually a bootlegged version of the video monitor feed. The whole first set exists in VCD format (Ihave it). If anyone wants it, I happen to have an extra one burned, just give me your addy and ill ship it out! IMO the 94 Vegas run was pretty rough. The sets were real short and Jerry was super tired. I was at both days of Soldier Field too, and i thought 7/8 was better than 7/9. I remember everybody walking out of the venue thinking "Is this it? Is Jerry through?" It was really sad. For a great 95 show, check out 3/24/95 from Charlotte. Sick ass Scarlet>Fire on the Mnt.

yea that echo was kinda lame, but the dead blew the roof off the place. well there wasnt a roof to begin with, hehe. that lightning was super tripped out though. what i would have given to have some lsd at that show, <sighs. but i smoked tons of dank nugs, still nuthing is quite the same as watching the dead on acid.
