The sub is a mix of oak and fir pellets lipa style. I'll throw a plate together soon and offer up some wedges.

^^^^looks great, but you should really harvest your blues sooner for longer shelf life and lower spore production.
here's my biggest cluster to date, a whopping (almost) three pounds
those trays are about 16"x24"
there's a huge pair that got away from me in the same tray as the whopper:
and good to see my chickens start growing again as the humidity went up yesterday. you can see the new brighter growth on the leading edge: not much but it's a start

This video might work for the US residents [url=youtube.com/watch?v=tsyXL8zKTrM&list=PLC7EC6DE03E91042D[/url]
Hopefully it's Alton Brown talking all about mushrooms. If not, I'll delete the link.
He talks through the value of ghee (clarified butter) and sauteeing mushrooms. After trying his method, I can't go back to how I used to do it. Get that pan hot!

I kept thinking I should harvest my versicolor but it continued to grow. This guy has been at it for about 60 days.
I didn't know they were capable of getting this big.

Wow, that's awesome! No spore problems still even at that mature?
I want to grow some more indoors just don't want all kinds of spores.

I haven't really seen much for spores. I am sure there are some but they are not evident outside of the gh like some species have been for me.

It looks good, leave it to grow as much as possible. I have several grown out near my Mushroom house tomorrow I will photograph them.

Good to know I had a shiitake block recently I harvested and left in the greenhouse, didn't notice I missed a mushroom on the bottom and it dumped a PILE of spores all over another block, so now my wife's all freaked out about breathing spores. Gotta make sure my grows aren't gonna dump 'em!

I am going to leave that fruit on the counter over night. I'll shoot a pic of whatever spores it drops so you have a better idea.

Cool thanks! I was amazed at the damage shiitake can do spore-wise, had never heard of it before until I found out myself...
