casual,
Beautiful! Did you wet the verm or just leave it alone? Also what's your climate like for that?

not a sexy pic, but here is some turkey tail that's just starting to fruit. This is on soybean/oak fuel pellets in my oyster chamber. They started out as hairy brown balls in my shiitake low FAE chamber, with higher FAE and more time there making nice little fans.

Pinks starting to show up, exactly 8 days after spawning on cold pasteurised straw
Strangely enough my golden oysters are lacking behind. Usually my fastest

That smell though! I have always enjoyed the smell of golden oyster spawn, but the pinks.. Man they stink

This may not be the best place for this question, but how do you get a second flush from pink oysters? Mine started pinning the first time about 10 days after spawning, then after I harvested them all I left it a week and then soaked it in water for 24 hours. But they are now resolutely sitting there doing nothing. it has been over 2 weeks since I soaked them, and nothing. I didn't have this problem with blue oyster. They always started pinning again within a few days, a week tops, of being soaked.

I dont have much experience with the pinks, have heard some having trouble getting them to fruit though.. Some species like coldshocks, maybe try that?

Pink oyster are a warm climate species. You can't put cultures of it in a normal fridge as it is too cold and they will die. Admittedly, a "cold shock" of maybe 15C or so might do it, but I have no means of administering such a temperature.

Pinks fruit with heat. Anything above 70 should be good. Drop the temps once pinset if you want blood red fruits

Well, the temperatures have been that high the entire time. I guess I'll just have to keep waiting.

You probably shouldn't have dunked. I've never dunked anything and have taken pinks to 5 flushes. They aren't huge but they fruit like clock work every week or so. And they have better quality in the mid 60s than 70s or 80s.
