Unexpected mushroom
    #18552396 - 07/13/13 10:41 AM (10 years, 7 months ago)

I tend to have mushrooms growing in my house most of the time, but this one kinda took me by surprise. Was misting my bonsai tree and noticed this little guy growing in the pot.

Not really worried about an accurate ID as I have not plans to eat this or anything (got lots of other stuff to munch on ) but I would love to see if any of the TI's would have any idea as to what kind of mushroom would grow in some pretty poor conditions like the pot of my bonsai in my family room.

Gills: Brown.

Stem: Tan, enlarges slightly down to base, maybe 4mm at base.

Cap: Brown maybe 15-20 mm diameter

Spore print color: Haven't tried to print yet

Bruising: Have not tried to bruise it yet

Location: Bonsai pot in my family room

I will attempt a spore print and look for bruising later, but for now I'm kinda wanting to let it grow and see if it gets any larger.

Do you have any more clear pictures? It kind of resembles something I've been seeing in flower pots but unable to ID as well.

Here's a couple more. The poor guy seems to be drying out pretty fast. I'm sure the conditions in my house are completely unsuitable for mushrooms to grow without the aid of a FC.

Sorry about the poor pics, I'm not much of a photographer

Wow AWESOME Pholiotina/Conocybe. Im not sure if the stem is white enough nor is it thin enough to be part of the known Psilocybin mushrooms in those genera.Although it is beautiful! and check for bruising anyways
