FREEHOLD  — Two men who authorities say followed the band Further are facing drug charges in New Jersey.

Police arrested 31-year-old Adam Sacks of Mount Holly, Vt., and 21-year-old Kyle Lewis of Catskill, N.Y., after searching their motel room in Tinton Falls.

The Monmouth County Prosecutor's Office says officers found a large quantity of methamphetamine, LSD, marijuana and hashish oil. Police also confiscated more than $51,000, which prosecutors suspect were proceeds of drug sales.

The men had tickets for performances of Further at the PNC Arts Center in Holmdel in addition to several other shows by that group that mainly performs Grateful Dead songs.

Prosecutor Christopher Gramiccioni says he won't tolerate traveling drug dealers who want to follow a band.

Lol some cops are such chodes...why not do something actually helpful for the world like catch people who inflict pain on others rather than people with drugs that imo are beneficial to the populice. Seriously...its depressing where my tax dollars go

Agreed.  Except for the meth.  Bleh.

Why not?

First they came for the meth dealers.  But I don't sell meth so I said nothing...

Then they came for the coke dealers.  But I don't sell coke so I said nothing...

Then they came for the psilocybin mushroom dealers.  But I only grow for myself so I said nothing...

Then they came for me and there was no one left to say anything in my defense.

  Awesome.  Very nice twist.  (And true when used in this regard, also.)

Come on, guys. Leave your drug bias / elitism at the door. Sometimes it makes me quite sad (and other times quite angry) how many drug users take on this elitist "my drug is better than your drug" attitude.

"Those drugs ruin lives-- my drugs are special and magical and only make lives better!"

Drugs are tools. That means they are neutral. And sure-- it is true that due to the extreme nature / effects of certain drugs, some drugs (although neutral) are more prone to abuse, trouble, and harm. But those are products of the user the user's habits and behavior (their choices) and even society.

You drug elitists do realize that some people take psychedelics and deeply regret it right?  Certain psychedelics have killed some people, or influenced a persons actions in such a way that harm or death resulted?  Some people take psychedelics and have really bad psychological reactions. I've heard from people who only dosed once or twice and felt that their experience permanently changed them for the worse.  And yes, these effects are considerably less common than harm from hard drugs. But it happens-- and psychs are also less commonly used.

Even marijuana can be particularly harmful for some. It does impact cognition, and emotions, and thus has had influence (not always positive) on the choices of a lot of young men and women still in their developmental phase. The old "gateway drug" claim is way over-exaggerated, but there is some measure of truth to it.

It just seems kind of wrong, to me, to celebrate these peoples' arrest and imprisonment just because they happened to have some "harder" drugs along with all their "softer" stuff. At least they weren't passing research chemicals off as drugs / psychs.  Have none of you people ever done MDMA?  That's an amphetamine-- make no mistake. And if you've ever bought pressed pills, there's a decent chance you've taken meth, and didn't quite realize it. (I wouldn't even entirely trust "molly" from most sources to be unadulterated these days.)

Dem kids had "moon rocks" 4MEC or Methylone and that's what the piggies think is meth,

their acid is prob. 25X

some nugs and some dab's, remember piggies don't really know what's going on these days.

Regardless, the kids are screwed 'cause in NJ, you better have money if you want to beat the system, and it can be done, guilty, or not.

I can only imagine what these dudes are going to deal with in the future.
I'm still dealing with my possession charge for less than .5 grams of herb.

I have no qualms or disrespect for the individuals, I'm just down on the health issues attendant with using meth.  The drug, not the people who were arrested.

For all I know it was misidentified by the cops, or possessed in only a tiny amount compared to the other items.  Not hating on the folks arrested.  In fact, I'm sorry for them.  Getting busted sucks.  They're in the system now...  :mad2:

Each minority group is singled out for this and that until there is noone left.  We need to stand together as one.

You don't make 50 grand selling bitter blotters to old school dead heads. Pretty sure the cops have encountered lsd and meth many times before too.
