Those are Psilocybe Ovoideocystidiata, I'll check out the thread.
EDIT: The shrooms in your thread are definitely not Ovoids.

this is where I went today and there were a few handfuls completely submerged. Didnt look to be slowing their growth though. If they arent too water logged maybe they will be ok.
These were nice pins a few days ago until they became slug food, someones gotta eat them I guess.

I have found them growing in water, the ones I found did survive, guessing they were in water 2 days max.

If you haven't already picked the two pins in the bottom pic, I would love to see progression pics. I think those pins are not the same as the pics above. My opinion, one group is Weilii and the other Psilocybe caerulescens.

Maybe similar but I would suspect different under the microscope. That pin on the left will keep the same color stem throughout its life cycle. Being as wet as it is and all this rain, it should have a yellowish red tint. I have watched ones like that pin on the left progress and they never have changed color. They bruise very blue as well compared to the ones on the top.

The reason he said they are synonomous is that they have been microscopically examined and were found to be the same....

Are you referring to the "white sap crap" in 3rd pic or the the 4th pic with pinestraw spread under what looks to be cryptomeria japonica.
Nice finds and pictures phishhead !

yep both pins were under cryptomeria cypress trees. the caerulescens down here absolutely love them
i have literally found thousands of them growing under cryptomeria and they always colonize very aggressively. its like wonder food for them. the pins and the more mature mushrooms are the same species just in different substrate which makes them look very different. the ones in pine straw tend to be thicker stem and a more white flesh due to being more solid instead of the other grass weilii which are more hollow and absorb more water giving them that yellowish red hue. they have been scoped and are the same. I didn't believe it at first either but I do think there are differences in the way they grow and what they colonize down here.

Not only that but DNA showed them to be the same.
