There has to be some defining characteristics between all these cube strains... I hope... Right?
I understand fully the regional difference between cubes. A wild cube in Texas shouldn't look like a wild cube from Thailand.
But cultivated species, i.e. GT, Z-strain, treasure coast, creepers(or keepers as I understand) Has anyone noticed differences in spore shapes? Fruiting behavior? Fruiting conditions?
I know marijuana has a chemical balance made of terpenes. This is its fingerprint or bloodline. Depending on what terpenes you have determines what strain you actually ended up with, or variant there of.
Any way to see what species a mushroom is? Further down than Cubensis.

Yeah, those are two very different things... Just saying.
I think you were going for Tomato (toe-MAY-toe), Tomato (toe-MAH-toe).

Anyone know a link to a page where it lists variations of cubes? Preferably not a vendor site... And I assume this to be just on general consensus.... But if there is scientific distinction also... I think I might need a towel hahaha
On a side note, found some pinwheel mushrooms outside today B-) They look pretty cool andtiny
Side side note.... Toejam... I just remembered Earl haha whatever happened to them?

I doubt there is much variation besides in phenotype.
Actually there was a Toejam and Earl 3 for XBox, pretty much original TJ&E but in 3d. Actually it was pretty good.
Ah, nostalgia.

I'm indeed well aware of that just too lazy to find out how to write different pronunciations, you know, UTC +3 and so on was yawning then, and yawning now. Figured that Charlie Sheen's line from Two and A Half Men would do

ive grown 2 different strains, PE and Treasure Coast. there were obvious differences, but its a known fact that PE is a mutated mushroom. i do plan on growing again later on, but im stuck on strains. i know the saying, "a cube is a cube", but there has to be noted changes...
any suggestions on a strain?

This. I believe the only factor that differentiates strain is the region of origin.

Depends on how much of the fruit presentation is based on genetics and not environmental factors

Hi my care just started his first grow of b+ and he's at pinning stage. There seems to be a hell of alot of different ideas about what temp it should be at. It's being kept at 80f for the moment, what do you guys think is best?
His cakes have a lot of thick white mycelium and some aerial myc is also popping up. He had to birth a bit before full colonization because 1 got contammed cos a bit to much moisture, he managed to save it by amputating the tam. They have been in fc for 5 days now and no sign of pinning. Should the cakes be wet to the touch?
I just birthed them. Not dunk n roll.
