my pals pmp has these huge droplets forming on the lid after a few hours,he has the two half inch holes in the sides up the top for exchange with a double airstone pump blowing in a 50 gal.its practically raining in there.is this gonna be a problem or 1:should he put say four or more holes around the top? 2:put a timer on the airpump and run it say 3 times a day for an hour each time? 3:or both? if it does get put on a timer will it then need to be fanned by hand?

I am wondering this too. My friend's PMP just got redone last night, and it gets to 100% in about five minutes now. He needs to figure out a way to lower the rh a bit, so his casings don't drown.

if an air pump was added why would the air input be limited. Woudn't you always want to have a constant gas exchange?

Make two holes about an inch each at the top of your chamber. Mount a piece of rubber with a screw in a way that it slides over the holes so that you can make them any size you want. This makes it easy to control the humidity without putting a timer on the pump (which won't work since the humidity comes from the geolite and not the pump) and defeating the whole purpose of making the pod in the first place.

What will tilting it do?
it will make water droplets run to the side like the sprayer shield in the "rich mans pod"(i think its that one)the one with the perspex angled shield above the actual growing space for the cake.but magash has told me to tell my foaf that "two x 1 inch diam holes covered with a piece of rubber attached with a screw for shutting the holes will fix the problem", as maybe tilting it will confuse your guess at the rh ie wont see if its too wet or not.its gonna be trial and error(hopefully not) i guess, depending on everyones different sizes and measures and stuff.
