I was using the search feature to read up on the LC teks. This one looks great but there was one question I saw unanswered...sorry if the answer is elsewhere, but here goes:
How many uses can you get out of the Whatman filters? Also, if some Canadian can give me an Edmonton or Red Deer retailer of them that would be great. The ones I've found on ebay are really being SCALPED.

Great tek. I just received some pearl oyster and lions mane LC syringes and I was wondering if there is anyway to pasteurize a 5 gal bucket of the liquid so I can inoculate and have 5 gal for outside spray purposes?

Also, you mention that it is best to use live culture from a petri dish, As I do not use agar, would a small amount of colonized WBS spawn be better than an LC syringe? If so how much should I use and would a glove box be the most sterile way of transferring WBS to the LC jars?
