Loans do too, I mean I've opted to buy a computer before but if you were just making minimum payments you would pay out like triple the cost of the damn thing

Stories of elective euthanasia have come from historic regimes, and abuses under our own system have escalated, incrementally, like a war of attrition, until the patient was being treated for a politically-incorrect condition, under a death panel administration.
I'm willing to consider that the doctors were (demographic or political) quota cases under pressure.
Even still, 1. Reflexes tested positive. 2. They chose to administer a strong sedative.
Those are two "errors," inconsistent with harvesting a vegetable, which result in a profitable outcome for their corporatist business model.
(Incidentally, if that was a free market, it could never have grown beyond the customer's ability to pay out of hand.)

Back in college I made a friend in some of my chemistry classes who was an ER nurse. I remember him telling me once that on his last shift they had harvested the organs of a nine year old girl. It was like he was telling me he had to file papers or had roast beef for lunch. No emotion, no concern, no sense of tragedy. But he was optimistic that someone else would live because she died. It honestly freaked me the fuck out.
Honestly, the "meh shit happens, too bad for you," attitude I've seen healthcare practitioners exhibit is what makes me the most afraid of receiving medical treatment. All doctors who deal with serious problems have made choices that kill people. It's intervention - they are intervening in a serious crisis, so I get it that some will die. But they don't seem particularly affected by it in the way I hope they would be. And if a nine year old little girl doesn't move them to go to great lengths, man oh man will I be fucked whenever I wind up depending on doctors to save my life.

Anyone who thinks this is bad is mistaken. The "hospitals" and "doctors" in countries like china, india, most third world countries are slaughterhouses.

So what you're saying is you want all health care practitioners to be arbitrarily miserable all the time? That's a great job incentive

Johnny Depp said: Wow Ellis and mush for brains, I certainly hope you aren't in charge of anything. Knee jerk reactions like that are how the drug war started.
You sound like some fundie morons. But maybe that is giving you too much credit. The religious are the only ones who rail against the organ donation program like you. But you were probably unaware of that. Just like you are obviously unaware that SEDATION IS STANDARD PRACTICE FOR A BRAIN DEAD PATIENT. Obviously she wasn't brain dead, but the dr.s mistakenly believed she was.
The only weird thing about this case is that the woman woke up. Wow, who'd have thought?
Now those MDs that you think should go home every night and cry about the ruthless pointless suffering of humanity, those people are out saving lives still. And that woman, the one who woke up, she committed suicide because she is a worthless puke.
I am more inclined to say that it would have been better for her to have had her organs ripped from her sedated body, killing her, than that nonsense about doctors being killed and tortured over their mistake.
I'd even go so far as to say you two should be sedated and have your organs removed for donation, rather than meting out in humane justice like that to our most highly trained medical professionals.
Is it possible to pull your head out for a minute? You might like the smell of fresh reality
So you wish the woman who woke up would have been murdered instead?
Maybe if there weren't butchers running around slaughtering their patients in righteous delusion there would be more organ donors. Yeah, I'll advocate for people to cancel their organ donor status and to visit local hospitals and ensure that they are on a don't harvest list.
