Hi im new to this shrooms and stugg and i would like to know if this is edible...the color of it is sort of a beige/brown color...the size is very small...and i found it on a very very old dead tree...so if someone could help me out and tell me if this is a poison kind or normal and edible i would appreciate it.

seems like the kind you see that dont have stems and are like half circles attached to a tree, i dunno if their edible tho :\

you really need to read the FAQ and the stickie threads at the top of ths forum.
so far all i can tell you is that it apeard to be a polypore.

m0est: i'm still waiting on you to read those stickies and give me the full details to the extent that you can. opperating on the assumption that that is a polypore [has porous/spongelike tissue on the underside instead of gills] exhibiting shelf/bracket like growth on the wood i will specificly be interested in: texture of fruitbody [was it fleshy, gelatinous, woody, etc.]? did it have a stem-like structure where it met the tree? was there some kind of staining reaction when it was handled? was the surface of the flesh textured or smoothe [i can't really tell from the pic]? any features you can give me will help.
HBM: i used to visit those kinds of boards too.
