somebody posted a list of shrooms in greece i think he has from bulgary the file he was reading i'm sure was the same with me but he forgot to change the page soooooooo there is the full list he mensioned 3 actives the first ones Amanita muscaria (pantidou 1991,Samorini 1992, zervakis 1998) pantherina (pantidou 1991 , zervakis 1998) Claviceps nigricans (wasson et al 1978) paspali purpurea Thr missing part and interesting one...... Panaeolina foenisecii Zervakis panaeolus retirugis zervakis panaeolus sphinctrinus pantidou zervakis BOOKS pantidou 1991 mushrooms in the forests of greece goulandris nat. his. mus. athens Zervakis g.,d. dhmou &c. balis 1998 a check-list of the greek macrofungi including hosts and biogeographic distribution mycotaxon66 273-336

claviseps purpurea is the fungus that LSD is made from. If you try to eat it as a fungus it might kill you and it will at least make you very ill. If I were you I would do some research of my own and not take anyones word about these types of things. Some of those others in the list may not be good either.

Panaeolina foenisecii and Panaeolous sphinctrinus are certainly not active. i don't know on the opther Panaeolous species.
Claviceps purpurea [ergot] contains verry harmful toxins wich should not be experimented with in addition to the lysergic amides used to synthesize LSD. i would assume that the other two Claviceps species may also be containers of lycergic amides but are probably just as dangerous.

i know about claviceps is ergot and that panaeolus retirugis and foenisecii is not active but panaeolus sphinctrinus are active http://www.magic-mushrooms.info/mushroom-guide.htm

tsimpikao: contrary to what is written in some guides, P. sphinctrinus is inactive and any tests concluding that they are are most likely due to misidentification.
