i dont understand really
but from what i grasp, it makes sense, cause if a presidents afraid of getting sued for every little thing, hes less likely to take action on issues
although for something big, it could be a negetive thing

So the answer is: only other government branches can sue the administration?
Is impeachment the only thing the president can go on trial for? I mean anyone can create a petition for a state to secede, how much harder is it for a president to be sued? In that article I posted, under what reason was A. Ernest Fitzgerald allowed to sue Nixon as a defendant, because he served under the government and as a government employee you can sue the president?
The air force is of course federal, if I worked at the library, and wanted to sue over unemployment, I know I'd sue the county or state, not the president.
I'm still unsure though, if to sue the president, you need to be a government employee. If I wanted to sue Obama right now for banging the gavel, or lying about how much employment would be created, as unlawful as the lawsuit may be, could I just go ahead and file a law suit against the administration, or would I need to be employed by the government first?
All hypothetical of course
