OK, These cakes were birthed into a dunk for 18 hours in the frig. Then birthed into a magash's poor man pod style chamber. Hyphal knots showed at 6 days after birth. They were then coated the fuck out of with verm, and double end cased with verm also. Here is 3 pics of 3 diff cakes there are 12 total but I am not taking a pic of each one they all look the same. I'd just like to saw thanks to everyone at the shroomery and most of all magash. Sorry the pics arent the greatest but they were taken with a webcam, what do you expect. 
Anyways I hope to pull off a nice first flush. They are growing like bats out of hell, my guess is 2 days till I harvest. I thinkI found a strain that is a keeper I am going to print every fat ass i get out off the first flush so I can continue growing this strain they are truly great. They colonized the jars in just under 2 weeks and the growth in my mycelium was pure rizzo, big ropey strands. I picked one shroom that I knocked off by accident and had it on a fan over night i broke it in half to see how dry it was and the weirdest shit i ever seen happened. The edges on both halfs i broke turned into a really dark black, with a hint of a blueish green like substance looking like ink. Is this bad?

Nope the are ontop of verm which is ontop of make shift foil bowls i made lol. I got 12 cakes they all have the same amount of pins, those pics are of 3 separate cakes.

They probably turned black due to oxidation. However, the ink thing is a bit worrying. I saw over in the contamination forum that there is some kind of contamination that looks like ink.

Could be, but for that it'd have to be soggy, and I cannot verify that with the DatDank's post. IF everything kept dry and firm, well, it could be about the strongest blueing reaction you can imagine

It was some crazy shit, it turned blue right away then i looked at it 20 seconds later and damn, shit looked like some blues green blackish ink it made like a liquid on the outer edges of the shroom where it was broken in half. And no the shroom was not soggy at all.

Lo, I would say that blueing is from air getting to the shroom, I would say it's good to go...What do you guys think...But from what i've read you're ok.

Why don't you just eliminate all of that dunking and shocking fuss and crumble and case next time. You'll double-triple your yields as well.

What is the benefit of rolling? Wait, the pictures obviously shows the benefit! Why roll? What does it do? Why not just leave the cake as is after dunking?
