I've been wondering as I read that taking pics with your cell phone and then posting them somewhere sends the exact location as to where the pic was taken to where u post it. I figure this is very easily true and would be of valuable info on here to many. Does anyone know the truth on this? Also is flickr a safe place to store your pics I'm not thinking so, but I don't really know.

Whether or not the GPS coordinates are encoded in the EXIF data of pics that your cell phone takes depends on the phone you use, and the phones settings.
You can turn it off, but it is sometimes on by default.
Regarding Flickr, what do you mean by safe? It is probably safe in that the pics you uploaded aren“t likely to disappear.

i was told all pictures have meta data... it has the info hidden in the file. There are many sites / apps that delete the meta data so the image is safer to share.
I was told that when u upload on the growery/shroomery metadata gets deleted. not sure if its true.

wanna be anonymous? have your mom go back in time 100 years before satellites, tell her to go to another planet, poop you out, then just live up there and if your still alive after 100 years you'll be old to remember that you wanted to be anonymous..
There IS NO anonymity anymore, no matter how invisible you think you are, you're being tracked... oh yeah and Gods always watching so..fail.

It is correct that all pictures have metadata. Which fields to populate is up to the camera. Shroomery does strip the EXIF data from uploaded pictures.
A good EXIF metadata viewer is here: http://regex.info/exif.cgi

Shroomery and growery strip EXIF data. You can verify this with the link I posted above.

To stop this you can disable geotagging, or gps location data on your phone. However even digital cameras record GPS settings. To easily get rid of this you can use a GPS stripper, OR open up the photo in a program like paint, cut it, than open a new paint document. Paste it, and than save it. You've removed ALL identifying information.
As far as I know, even with flickr the geotagging and other metadata stays. You should use imgur as it automatically scrubs ALL identifying information from the photos.
Plus awhile ago there was a "0day" (not technically a 0day, more of a bug) that was release that allowed people to view the photos in password protected flickr accounts.

iphones automatically print your gps coordinates onto every photo. in a very tiny and almost transparent font.

You clearly don't know much about GPS printing. They embed it into your photo, not with a transparent font. It's physically coded into the data of the photo.

damn i tried to find it on google but couldnt. i once seen an episode on dateline where some lady faked her kidnapping and had someone take a photo of her looking beat-up and when the fbi got a hold of it, they were able to zoom in on some part of the photo that prints the coordinates on it.

No problem
Not sure what brand it is, I bought it off some dude on craigslist.
It's pretty accurate, I think its off my .02-.03g but I'm not sure. It's pretty good, I don't really use it for weighing anything sensitive. However I weighed out 0.2g of MXE on it to do liquid dosing, and my doses with liquid seemed to be correct with what other people said, so I guess it's accurate.
