Salvia divinorum indoors
    #1849523 - 08/25/03 09:45 PM (13 years, 3 months ago)

I have a window that faces north northeast and I get a few hours of morning sun in my room. I can't plant outside, winter coming up, so I wanted to grow a couple in my room. I am pretty sure this will work? 3/4 hours of sunlight and alot of shade. Some seeds I have that I think might work:
calea zachetechihi (sp)
peganum harmala

Can anyone recommend a plant for me to grow? (That has medicinal uses as well.)

Thanks

Indoors should be no problem for them. 3-4 hours of sunlight might not be quite ideal, so if you can give them indirect light from other sources that might help. The important thing is that the humidity level should be fairly high, and you can build a humidity tent or mist them (a lot easier than trying to humidfy a whole room, huh?). Becarful not to overwater them either though.

Other plants which I'm going to grow are wild dagga, sceletium, heimia salicifolia, and Calea Zacatechichi as you mentioned.

The very nature of experience is ineffable; it transcends cognitive thought and intellectualized analysis. To be without experience is to be without an emotional knowledge of what the experience translates into. The desire for the understanding of what life is made of is the motivation that drives us all. Without it, in fear of the experiences what life can hold is among the greatest contradictions; to live in fear of death while not being alive.

Cool, I was thinking about buying an inexpensive humidity tent.. but I may just have an old turtle/fish tank in the garage. >> How would I acclimate them to a low humidity room... and what is good %RH? I have a radioshack humidity meter so I can check..

3-4 hours is all my room gets and I don't like florescent lights so hopefully they'll make do.
